St. Paul's Green Vision

God's Creation We are trying our best to take care of God's creation. God gave us dominion over the earth, and we feel we should take care of it.

Our Current Efforts

We have a special recycle can in the kitchen to collect plastic, glass and metal containers.

We ask people to save cardboard boxes, which are then taken to the Library Recycle area.

We collect the recycle paper generated in the staff offices (which includes the used church bulletins each Sunday)

We continually review the use of fluorescent bulbs and the new special coiled bulbs as replacement for incandescent bulbs.

We are saving all of our used fluorescent bulbs and take them to the DNREC Hazardous Waste sites

We are continually on the alert to correcting leaking windows and doors to minimize fuel and electricity costs.

We collect many branches and occasional trees from the church grounds and cut up the large pieces into fireplace length for church members and grind the smaller branches into chips for mulching the grounds.
